Common issues and how to resolve them.

Agent Shows DOWN But Works For Me

Causes:

  • Auth issue — Wrong/expired credentials → Update in settings
  • IP blocking — Allowlist by User-Agent: AgentStatus-Validation/1.0
  • Geo-blocking — Check which regions fail, adjust firewall/CDN
  • Rate limiting — Increase limits or reduce check frequency
  • Network issue — Wait for next check; investigate if persistent
  • Debug: Check error codes, regional breakdown, server logs during check time.


    Agent Shows DEGRADED

  • Evaluation prompts failing — Test manually ("What is 2+2?")
  • High latency — Optimize performance or increase SLA threshold
  • Partial regional failures — Check regional infrastructure
  • Intermittent errors — Check flaky dependencies

  • No Checks Running

  • Agent paused — Resume in dashboard
  • Subscription issue — Check billing, upgrade if needed
  • Schedule misconfigured — Set to "interval" not "manual"
  • Waiting for first run — Trigger manual run

  • Alerts Not Sending

  • Email not configured — Add in agent settings
  • Alert type not enabled — Enable "Alert on DOWN"
  • Email in spam — Check spam, add to contacts
  • No status change — Alerts fire on *change* only
  • Webhook failing — Check endpoint logs

  • High Latency in Results

  • Slow agent — Optimize performance
  • Cold starts — Keep warm or accept spikes
  • Geographic latency — Expected for distant regions
  • Network variability — Focus on P50; P99 spikes normal on residential

  • Webhook Not Receiving Data

  • URL incorrect — Verify, test with curl
  • Firewall blocking — Allow Agent Status requests
  • Endpoint crashing — Check server logs
  • No status change — Webhooks fire on change only
  • SSL issue — Verify certificate

  • Can't Create Agent

  • Tier limit — Free: 1 agent max → Upgrade or delete
  • Invalid URL — Verify accessibility
  • Validation error — Check error message

  • Dashboard Not Loading

  • Session expired — Refresh and log in
  • Browser cache — Clear or use incognito
  • Service outage — Check status.fabric.carmel.so
