Configure Email Alerts

Get notified instantly when your agent goes down or recovers.

Step-by-Step

1. Go to Agent Settings

Open your agent → Settings or Edit

2. Alert Settings

Alert Email: oncall@yourcompany.com
Alert on DOWN: ✅
Alert on DEGRADED: ⬜ (optional)
Alert on Recovery: ✅

3. Save

Click Save Changes. Alerts are now active.

Alert Types

Email Format

Subject: 🔴 [Agent Status] Agent DOWN: Production ChatBot

Includes: status, previous status, timestamp, summary (reachability, latency, regions), and dashboard link.

Multiple Recipients

  • Use a distribution list
  • Use PagerDuty/Opsgenie email integration
  • Set up webhook for fan-out

Testing Alerts

  • Temporarily point agent to a non-existent URL
  • Trigger a manual run
  • Check your email
  • Restore the correct URL
  • Troubleshooting

    • Not receiving? Check spam, verify email, ensure "Alert on DOWN" is checked
    • Too many alerts? Disable DEGRADED alerts, increase check frequency
